c# - Unable to Implement CalendarContract w/ Xamarin.Android -

I am wrestling with the Android calendar for a few days and I am at the end of my intelligence

< P> Follow the instructions given here:

I have started a new ICS project and added permissions to read and write the calendar. According to the above instructions, I can now be able to "chat with calendar data" using the calendar calendar class. However, when I input the first line of the example code:

  var calendarsUri = insert calendar. Claude Content Yuri;

I get an error saying that "the name 'calendar conference' is not present in the current context."

I have the download code for the calendar demo located here:

I can open the project, manipulate the code I can deploy it with modifications placed on my test device and it works perfectly. The problem is that if I prepare a project from scratch then I can not get cancer in the "present in my context" even adding to a new project in CalendarListActivity.cs will not work. It goes that I have to set up in Zaminin Studios, not through code, and have not indicated in their tutorial, that I do not know yet.

Which settings or reference do I need to add to this feature in a new or existing project? I have seen everywhere, I can think and can not find elusive switches, check boxes, references or whatever is necessary. I have burnt it three days to remove it and I have lost my patience.

I was able to reproduce the error that you caused to an IS in Zamirinj Studio After the project was created and found the same message, I then loaded the solution in Visual Studio and saw that the mono in the Calendar DOMO project. Android v4.0 is a reference, but the only mono built in Examiner Studios. Android v2.2 Although I specify ice cream sandwich. This is the reason that you are not able to build.

There was nothing to change the target version in the project options. Adding an optional solution

  & lt; TargetFrameworkVersion & gt; V4.0 & lt; / TargetFrameworkVersion & gt; See the Calendar Demo project as an example in the .csproj file

.

BTW: This is on Zamorin Studio v4.2.2 (Build 2). I usually do not use Zamorin Studios, so I never had to deal with this. I'm not sure that this is a bug in XS, but certainly not expected behavior.

Just as a test, I have created another project in Zadmin Studio, but this time I'm surprised by the standard Android application project, this Mono.Android 4.3.0 referenced. So apparently there is a bug in the Android Ice Cream Sandwich Project Template.

I recommend using standard Android application projects.
