How to contact linux ClearCase clients from Windows servers -

I'm trying to get some Linux ClearX clients to work with my existing Windows infrastructure. All vobs and servers are stored on Windows machines.

By using an existing vob, I was able to create a tag in the linux area to refer to vob, and then linux client This client was able to connect to Vob and when I updated the configuration space, I used to drag files. However, as long as this file can be viewed, it does not have permission to edit it.

User Name Match

linux: user1 windows: DOMAIN \ user1

Clearcase Administrator Panel "to map UNIX user and group names with the selected domain " is selected.

However, authentication is not working from the Unix client, if I run

  credmap windowsServer

And no one gets any for the group id if I run from the Windows server

  credmap linuxClient

this time out and get me

credmap: Error: Unable to contact albd_server on host

The further investigation of the albd_list on Unix reveals that the embedded server Walking up, and even on Windows machines, the Albb server also finds.

  Albd_server addr = 166.20.20.81, ports = 371 albd_list 166.20.17.118 albd_server addr = 166.20.17.118, ports = 371

Go to the opposite direction return Stay

Albd_list 166.20.20.81 noname: Error: Unable to contact albd_server on host '166.20.20.81' can not contact 'lbd

Ping works on the Linux host from the Windows host, and I also at this time from parent to SSH via Linux host.

If someone has any thoughts about the next thoughts, then you will be my hero: (

When you access the console, you get limited ClearCase functionality. To learn more about running ARCase server (running on Windows) from a Linux client, read about.

< P> I suggested to you to think about migrating your VOB server to Linux. Committee receives all ClearCase functionality.
